What is the dumbest thing you've ever done?

Um... i think the dumbest thing i have ever done is rolled down a hill and into a road...

i was about 5 at the time! But i liked rolling down hills and this one just ended up having a road at the bottom.

i can only speak English fluently... but i know quite a lot of German... some French, some Spanish and a little bit of Japanese.

i've had to learn some Italian to help a friend of mine who is trying to learn the language and wants to go to an art school there.

i know a small amount of Russian, Welsh and Irish.... and also a little bit of Swedish...

so i can only speak 1 fluently... but if you include the tiny parts of other languages... i speak 10 languages...

A couple of days into my trip I was pulled aside by my trip leaders, they told me they had recieved a phone call from my father. They told me that my mother wasn't very well but not to worry. At this time I was thinking, how can I not worry? You just said yourself my mums in trouble and im about 5,000 miles away! Plus if there was nothing to worry about you wouldn't have told me!

So anyway, i went on normally and worried about my mother secretly. Once I got back to my school, my dad and sister were waiting for me which is strange in itself because my dad usually doesn't have anything to do with us.

I was again pulled to the side by all 5 group leaders and my dad, it was then they told me my mother had suffered a stroke about 5 hours after my departure to New York. I felt so guilty! My mum almost died and I was enjoying a snooze on a plane. I still feel guilty, there was absolutly nothing i could do, not in New York anyway, i really feel i should have gone for the History trip to Belgium now, that would be in a few weeks and wouldn't last as long, and if my mum had the accident then i could have caught the first plane back to England as fast as i could and try and be there for her.

Instead I spent 5 days in New York and even if i had known the first plane i could have gotten back was only about 2 hours before the one was going to catch back anyway. The doctor says that my mum could take up to two weeks to regain conciousness and six months to come out of hospital.

So at the moment i feel as if some higher being really hates me at the moment, everything seems to be going wrong.

i really needed to get that off my chest, sorry if i seem a bit whiny to you, but you can just completely ignore this if you want.

heya everybodz!!

As you can probably see i've cleaned up my journal by deleting unwanted posts and shrinking posts that are already there under an LJ Cut.

In my opinion it looks a lot cleaner now.

Just wanted to explain what was going on in case anyone came here and went "OMGWTF where's everything gone?" lol.
